Iron Sun Horses offers Western/English and Rider/Horse training to improve seat, suppleness, confidence and the working relationship between horse and rider. We also focus on ground training and desensitizing to ensure safety.

Your horse or ours – we also have leasing options available.

Group lessons $35.00 (up to 5 horses/riders) or $45.00 private plus any arena fees.

Catherine & "Ruby"

Ruby and I spent a summer with Dawn improving our riding, learning to work as a team.

Ruby was broke but young when we started our lessons. As she is my first horse, I was the one who needed lessons the most. Over the summer Dawn was able to help me with my confidence, seat, and especially with communicating clearly to Ruby. We worked every week on Ruby's mental and physical fitness. By the end of the summer Ruby was even going over small jumps!

Dawn tailored our lessons specifically for Ruby and I, making allowances for her size and the fact she is a draft horse, with different strengths and abilities than a light horse.

Thanks Dawn, for teaching me how much more there is to riding than "get on and go" (and for making me believe you can mount a Clyde in an English saddle without a block)!
