Iron Sun Horses can teach you to train your horse or we can start a horse for you. Either way the owner is an informed part of the process because what good is a trained horse if you don’t know what to do with it when you get it home? $500.00 per month training plus $150.00 per month board (extras such as grain etc. will be added on).

Training includes one lesson for the owner per week. We also offer foal – yearling training for a discounted rate as these animals eat less and can only be worked on the ground.

Aug. 29-Sept. 1: Customer Appreciation Weekend.
Our clients spoke up and we listened. This will be a gaming weekend. Learn Gymkhana and Prince Phillip type games as well as learn to create your own. Please bring a helmet. Come for all for $300.00 including meals and lodging or come for a day for $100.00 plus $5.00 per meal. Horse board $10.00 per night. School horses also available for $20.00 per day. Shuttle service available from the airport.

Sept. 12-14: Crazy Convoy.
Have horse trailer will travel. A weekend away with your horse (location TBA) Camping, trail riding etc. Price dependent on location etc.

 

Sept. 26-28: Tentative Horsemanship Clinic.
Indoor arena location TBA. $275.00 maximum 10 horses/riders. Pre-register only prior to Sept. 15.

The participants of this year’s horsemanship clinic had a blast and learned a lot too. It was great to see the progress they all made over the weekend. Everyone was able to work on their own issues – both horse and rider, as well as learn from the others around them. Stay tuned for letters and pictures from some of the participants.
